On February 9, Ambassador Li Jiming met with MD. Shahjahan Mridha Benu, freedom fighter and freedom fight researcher, General Secretary of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry（BCCCI）, Bangladesh China Cultural Economic Center, Bangladesh Kite Federation, Bangladesh Dragon and Lion Dance Association, and received the latter’s donation of 10,000 medical masks.

Ambassador Li highly appreciated the kindness of BCCCI and promised that the embassy will deliver the donation to China as soon as possible. The Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia epidemic is generally preventable, controllable and curable. China is fully capable and confident in overcoming the epidemic. He also urged all walks of live in Bangladesh to be alert but not panic.

Mr. Shahjahan Mridha Benu lauded the Chinese government’s quick and effective efforts taken and expressed his firm belief of winning the battle against the virus soon.
