On May 7, 2023, the “Reception for Bangladeshi Participants Attending 2023 Chinese Government Training Programs” was held at the Embassy of China in Bangladesh. Ambassador Yao Wen attended and delivered a keynote speech. Mr. Md. Shahriar Kader Siddiky, Additional Secretary & Wing Chief of Economic Relation Division, participants of the training programs, Chinese Director of Confucious Institute of University of Dhaka, some local scholars and officials attended the meeting.

At the event, eight representatives from different training courses delivered speeches. Mr. Md. Shahriar Kader Siddiky spoke highly of the fruitful cooperation between China and Bangladesh. He hoped that China would continue to help Bangladesh overcome challenges in its economic development and achieve its development goals.

Ambassador Yao Wen said in his keynote speech that China and Bangladesh had witnessed increasingly close exchanges, deepening political mutual trust and fruitful economic and trade cooperation. He also noted that China would stand ready to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Bangladesh, share development experience and achievements, and facilitate the economic and social development of Bangladesh so as to achieve a win-win result. He sincerely wished all the participants a fruitful and enjoyable trip to China with a belief that all the participants would play an active role in China-Bangladesh cooperation after returning to Bangladesh.
