On December 17, 2022, the “Forum on China-Bangladesh Human Resources Development Cooperation & Reunion of Participants of Chinese Government Training Programs”was held by the Embassy of China in Bangladesh in Dhaka. Mr. Song Yang, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of China in Bangladesh, Mr. Md. Shahriar Kader Siddiky, Additional Secretary & Wing Chief of the Economic Relations Division of the Ministry of Finance, attended the forum and delivered speeches. About eighty representatives of participants of Chinese government training programs also attended the forum.

Mr. Song Yang pointed out in his speech that China and Bangladesh are faithful friends and reliable strategic partners. With mutual efforts, fruitful results have been achieved. The Chinese Dream of National rejuvenation and the dream of “Sonar Bangla” are well interconnected. The Belt and Road Initiative and the Vision 2041 perspective plan will integrate further.

Mr. Md. Shahriar Kader Siddiky spoke highly of the generous assistance and continuous support of China to Bangladesh in various areas. He said that China is a good friend of Bangladesh. Bangladesh has learned many things from China. Bangladesh highly appreciate China’s help.

The representatives of participants of Chinese government training programs all expressed their thankfulness to China and the training programs. With the skills and ideas they have acquired in the training programs, they have been contributing to the social and economic development of Bangladesh.

China has been providing training in human resources to Bangladesh under the “China aid” framework, including short-term training programs and degree programs, covering various fields such as public health, pharmaceutical management, food security, information and communication technology, marine science and technology, sustainable development of agriculture, energy and so on. China also provides government scholarships for Bangladeshi students to study in China.
