On 21 February 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh attended the Language Movement Day & International Mother Language Day organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

During the event, the Embassy staff presented flowers at the “Shaheed Minar” remembering the supreme sacrifices of the Language Martyrs in 1952, and watched Audio-Visual regarding to the Language Movement. Li Congru, a two-year-old child from the Embassy recited Chinese poetry in his own mother tongue,demonstrating the traditional Chinese culture and winning warm cheers and applause from the audience.Li Congru also extended cordial greetings to Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in his native Chinese language, saying HPM, through you we got International Mother Language Day, Thank you.
