Ambassador Yao Wen Attends the Final of the 25th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students (The Qualifying Round in Bangladesh)
On May 14, the final of the 25th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students (The Qualifying Round in Bangladesh), guided by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of China and hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, was successfully held in Dhaka. Ambassador Yao Wen, Professor Mohammad Ashaduzzaman (Director of the International Mother Language Institute), Chinese and foreign directors of Confucius Institutes/Classroom in Bangladesh, and over 200 teachers and students from various Bangladeshi universities attended the event.
In his speech, Ambassador Yao Wen stated that the "Chinese Bridge" competition has attracted an increasing number of young participants from around the world, becoming an important bridge for enhancing mutual understanding and friendship. He expressed hope that people from all walks of life in China and Bangladesh would join hands to strengthen linguistic and cultural exchanges, expand cooperation across various fields, write new chapters of China-Bangladesh friendship in the new era, and jointly open a new chapter in China-Bangladesh education and people-to-people friendship.
In the final, 11 contestants shared their deep connections with Chinese culture in fluent Chinese and demonstrated the fruitful achievements of China-Bangladesh cultural exchanges through artistic performances such as guzheng playing, calligraphy, and tea ceremonies.
